Know the difference; 5 panel Rapid Test vs 10 panel Rapid Test:

When deciding to do a rapid drug test it’s important to know which drugs you need your employees to be clear of. This is based on your company policies and any governing bodies that you need to meet professional standards by. An example of this is medical facilities such as assisted living, hospices and other medication related medical positions often need to be sure that their employees are clean on propoxyphene. That is outside the traditional 5 or 10 panel but you can request such testing though it may be an additional fee or increased cost.

A typical 5 panel test will cover THC, Amphetamines, Methamphetamine, Opiates and Cocaine.

A typical 10 panel test will cover Benzodiazepin, Barbiturates, Oxicodone, MDMA, PCP, THC Amphetamines, Methamphetamines, Opiates and Cocaine.

Like we mentioned in a previous blog post there are times when a rapid test isn’t appropriate. Learn more about that in our Rapid VS Send-In blog post.
